vacci.net.au is a web app that connects people who can present to a pharmacy at a moment's notice to receive unused vaccines that will eventually go to waste.BOILERPLATE DESCRIPTION
We are based in Sydney and can connect anyone in Australia to a participating pharmacy closest to them via a text message.Users register using their mobile number and postcode. When an unused dose is available at a pharmacy, based on the postcode of the pharmacy, a text message is sent to people closest to the pharmacy. They then contact the pharmacy and make arrangements to receive the vaccine.
Once a multidose vaccine vial is punctured, it expires in 6 hours. This means there is a 6-hour window for a vaccine to go in an arm. vacci.net.au removes the chaos when people cancel or do not show up at the appointment.
Our mission is to help pharmacies reduce vaccine wastage efficiently.
